In addition to fevers, Sudarsana tablet may also be used in cases of respiratory tract disorders including cough, breathlessness and epigastric distress.

Sudarsana Tablet is an analgesic and antipyretic Ayurvedic medicine which helps in the treatment of fevers due to its tridosha-hara effect. In addition to fevers, Sudarsana tablet may also be helpful with cases of respiratory tract disorders including cough, breathlessness and epigastric distress.

The Sudarsana Tablet contains Sudarsana Choornam or Sudarsana Churna which is a known in Ayurvedic medicine for helping treat cough and cold, fever, headache and body pain. It helps in decreasing the AMA toxin levels which wards off fever and infections. This is because the AMA toxins block the micro-channels of the body which the fever medicine helps in releasing, thus reducing chances of fever.

The Sudarsana Churna also is known to possess antimicrobial, antibacterial, anti-diabetic, and antiviral properties which can help reduce the chances of bacterial and viral infections. Moreover, it also helps fight a lot of other chronic diseases such as malaria, typhoid, flu, jaundice, anaemia, indigestion, and other respiratory diseases.

Ayurveda has been practised as a holistic means of maintaining a healthy lifestyle for over 3000 years. The Sanskrit term Ayurveda basically means Life Science (Ayur refers to life while Veda refers to science). It’s not just a medical system but a way of life which aims at effective management of health and diseases. Most of the Ayurvedic medicines have a plant or a plant and mineral-based origin. These herbal medicines are used by about 80% of the population in developing countries for their primary healthcare needs, as per research by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Churna is basically a type of Ayurvedic medicine sourced from one or more drugs. Some important ingredients go into making the Sudarshan Tablet.

As per Ayurveda, the diseases affecting the human body can be classified into exogenous and endogenous. Exogenous include external factors such as fall, thunder or lightning, fire, accident or violence. On the other hand, endogenous diseases comprise internal factors that occur from an imbalance in Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.

Some of the most common diseases such as fever, headache, cough, and cold are also as a result of this imbalance. For example, Ayurveda describes fever to be a disturbance in the regulation of body temperature. It also classifies fever into two categories - as a disease in itself or as a symptom of another disease. Fever as a disease in itself can be of 8 types - Vata, Pitta, Kapha, Vata-Pitta, Vata-Kapha, Pitta-Kapha, Vata-Pitta-Kapha, and Aghantuja while fever as a symptom of another disease falls under the character of Pitta.

The Vataja Jwar, also known as Monsoon Fever, generally occurs due to malfunctioning of the central nervous system. Some of the symptoms are shivering, erratic pulse, dry lips, body ache and fluctuating temperature. The Pittaja Jwar, also known as Autumn Fever, occurs due to problems in the vein system. The symptoms are dizziness, diarrhoea, nausea, and sweating. Finally, the Kaphaja Jwar, also known as the Spring Fever, concerns itself with problems in the artery system. The symptoms include coldness, nausea, laboured respiration, and a feeling of heaviness.

One of the comprehensive ayurvedic medicines that help with fever management, is the Sudarsana Tablet. This is because it can be used for all types of doshas - Vata Dosha, Pitta Dosha, and Kapha Dosha, thus earning it the name Tridosha Shamak.
